Ubuntu Software Center is provided by Ubuntu for easy installing, updating, and removing applications.

In this method, the application will be installed from Snap. Microsoft itself maintains the Skype package. So you need not to worry about anything. You can update your Skype application from Ubuntu Software Center, and it is also much easier to remove it later. This is the preferred method of installing Skype on Ubuntu powered Systems.

Step1: Got to

Step 2: Click on “Get Skype for Linux DEB.” This should start downloading the Skype DEB file in your system. In case you don’t find this button, you can also use this link to start download
